About Turning Point

The purpose of TPE is to giving young people the resources and support they need to make intelligent and adaptive life choices. TPE is a global network and resource for developing and deploying a variety of prevention and intervention methodologies and programs to offer solutions to communities and schools to effect positive change in youth populations.

Through the use of TPE technology releases, up-scalable programming will provide masses of at-risk youth the connection referrals to alternatives and support for countering destructive behaviors and lower negative youth behavioral statistics while dealing with individual needs on a one-on-one basis.

Turning Point Experience, Inc. (TPE) is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization. TPE’s founders and Executive Team are utilizing experiences gained from administrating over 2,000 individual on-site school assembly presentations and over 450 youth evening rallies. Since 1999, TPE has collaborated with world-renowned experts in relevant fields to build strategic initiatives to effectively address the challenges facing contemporary youth and their families and communities.

At TPE, we realize that to effectively reach young people on a state-wide and national scale, we need to develop innovative and appropriate technological and community networking tools, including a cutting edge interactive web presence. TPE has developed such a strategic initiative toward offering various prevention and intervention programs and methodologies to reach the millions of youths by effectively emphasizing ongoing interaction and involvement at grassroots levels through sharing information that will be securely and confidentially sent to the user, mentor, resource organization, the master agency, and “The S.P.I.R.I.T.” programming.

“Taking tomorrow’s technology to reach the youth of today” is our slogan, and it describes the initial focus of our efforts. This approach involves the use of technology and community-building communication opportunities to create referrals among youth, mentors, resource organizations, and other stakeholders, while providing measurable data for evaluation and accountability of program effectiveness.  TPE’s “The S.P.I.R.I.T.” Initiative will be effective in reducing negative choices and improving social behaviors contributing to the healthy development of youth and, especially, at-risk youth.  Our past results with the TPE Initiatives are consistent with reported increased success rates for similar intervention programs aimed at younger populations (Connor, 2002; Foster et al., 2002; Frick, 1998; Kazdin, 1996; Yoshikawa, 1995).
